In today's world, we are under great pressure to meet expectations and even exceed them. But what does this mean for us, is it good or bad for our daily lives and our overall well-being?
Much depends on the personal mindset. If we see challenges as unpleasant, frightening obstacles that intimidate us and that we would rather run away from, negative stress arises. This feeling affects our well-being and over time it also has a negative impact on our health.
However, if we have a growth mindset, we define a challenge differently and see it as part of our personal development: we recognize the opportunity to grow from every situation we encounter and not just see it as a problem. The growth mentality does not focus on the positive, but on how to understand the situation in its entirety, what the actual problem is, what needs to be sacrificed or done to get out of these difficult circumstances. A growth-oriented mindset does not seek comfort, but opportunities, even if they are challenging for us.
The more difficult the situation is, the more we need to prepare for what is coming and not see it as obstacles, but as problems that make us stronger.
It is very important that we allow ourselves to accept more of our mistakes and shortcomings, for this path brings us closer to our true goal - self-actualization.
When we accept to face our challenges and thus muster the courage for change, we can break free, learn new things, and develop personally.
Personal growth means learning new skills and experiencing new challenges. It is about expanding oneself and approaching the unknown positively while remaining curious.
To achieve this, it is not a solution to run away from the problems we face, but to be open-minded and willing to take the associated risks, to find the right ways to deal with them, and thus to grow from them.
