Back to the office

Now comes the new challenge: to bring the employees back to the office space. For managers, it is therefore important to create a positive and safe environment that gives employees a reason to return to their workplace. For this, ideal conditions for a productive and efficient working atmosphere must prevail in the office. The return to the workplace is a delicate and personal matter because it has an impact on the health and wellbeing of employees. In addition, every employee's living conditions and tasks are very different. The employer should therefore customize plans and expectations as much as possible so that the employees feel understood and valued, which in turn builds trust. So that the employees can work again without worry, it is important to ensure their security and to protect them from infection. For this there is the possibility of  transparent leadership of a hygiene protocol, the limitation of the number of employees in the building, quarantine regulations after travel and various further measures.

Joy Corporate has included specific services to support companies in exactly this process and offers targeted «Return to work» Programs and workshops to professionally manage this sensitive situation. In order to show the employees in the home office appreciation and gratitude, Joy Corporate offers the «Happiness box" on. Filled with daily optimistic messages to open, it promotes motivation and a positive mindset. To deliver a gift box with personalized packaging and the company logo to the home office is a small gesture with a great effect. After pandemic, employees will probably return to a “hybrid” work environment. In the future, for example, many employees can work two days in the office and the other days in the home office. However, the introduction of this strategy requires an analysis which activities can be done most effectively in the workplace and which in the home office. Until the company finds the optimal formula, it takes time and the employees have to be actively involved in the process from the start. Each working environment has its advantages and disadvantages and thus offers different opportunities and challenges. The ideal will be to create new norms that enable employees to work differently onsite than in the home office.

After the trend towards the large -scale room and open office, many employees in the home office have learned to appreciate calm and isolation for concentrated, undisturbed work. In order to be able to offer this concentrated, uninterruptible work in the organization, the installation of retreats for highly productive and focused work is conceivable. In order to continue to guarantee the possibilities for interpersonal interaction, hybrid meetings and project rooms with open meeting rooms are also ideal. As a social being, we are dependent on positive relationships with others to motivate and develop. In hybrid meeting rooms, employees who work remote can also be digitally integrated into the meeting on site. So that their creative contributions are not lost. Since you cannot present your ideas directly, strategic opportunities for common ideas are essential. This creates a new, customizable working environment that promotes creativity, concentration and teamwork. It is important to maintain a culture of connection, especially with the increasing hybrid work. The organizational culture must therefore focus more on building relationships. Employees need connection to their supervisor and the other team members, because the physical closeness and being together in a common room give the team a feeling of belonging and connection and strengthens trust in the employer.

09/29/2017, Personal Switzerland Print The creative workshops help employees, to briefly detach theirselves from their professional and personal daily requirements. They then return to their tasks more relaxed and more concentrated. As much satisfying the work is, you just need recovery phases. Nobody is able to concentrate 8 hours at a time.
